The Killbear Tree
This image was captured during a trip through the Parry Sound region. The windswept pine - standing alone, yet thriving - felt like the perfect metaphor for the rugged spirit of northern Ontario. I edited this photograph to evoke a painterly, almost watercolour style, enhancing the natural textures and soft colours of the scene.
Whether you’ve visited Killbear Provincial Park or simply appreciate the raw beauty of Canada’s wild places, this print brings a piece of Ontario’s soul into your home.
Windswept pine.
A symbol of the Canadian Shield, this resilient pine has become one of Ontario’s most recognized natural landmarks - photographed, painted and admired by generations of campers, hikers and cottagers.
Bring a beloved Canadian icon into your space.
Human-made wall art.
I photographed and edited this image myself - nothing in this image is AI generated. I was at Killbear Provincial Park in October of 2021 to shoot a wedding. I arrived early so I could take my time to photograph the tree all on its own.
Edited with a subtle painterly touch, the image blends photography with a soft watercolour feel, highlighting both the resilience and quiet solitude of the landscape.
