Eco Garden vs Beach Gazebo Wedding at Royalton Punta Cana
The Royalton Beach Gazebo vs the Eco-Garden Gazebo
Destination wedding planning at the Royalton Punta Cana comes with the first question... should I get married on the beach or in the Eco-Garden gazebo? Let me shed little a little light with some pros and cons to each - but in all honesty, you're marrying the love of your life in a gorgeous tropical paradise... is a wrong decision even possible?!
Pros and Cons of a Wedding at the Beach Gazebo
ADVANTAGES:
When you think destination wedding, you think ba-ba-ba-Beach!
The View! Turquoise water at your side, sunny blue skies overhead and tropical palm trees swaying in the breeze.
Your toes in the sand and the sun on your back
The ocean is at it's bluest-best in the early afternoon
Central location, easy and close for guests to get to
The magic hour for light is in the late afternoon around dinner and you're right there ready for it
DISADVANTAGES:
What's your risk tolerance where Mother Nature is concerned? On the beach you're naturally exposed to possible rain and the wind can be a little much at times. While both are fairly rare, some Brides may not want to test Mr. Murphy and his law.
Other resort guests line both sides of the ceremony area on the beach - they're polite and quiet, but nevertheless they're always present enjoying the show. While the Royalton wedding coordinators are on guard for guests getting in the way of photos, it's not always avoidable.
It can get hot, real hot for your guests when the breeze dies down - while the bridal party is partially covered by gazebo decor, your guests are pretty well in the open sun.
Pros and Cons of a Wedding at the Eco-Garden Gazebo
ADVANTAGES:
Privacy! You're surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, no prying eyes.
The colours of the gardens are gorgeous
The entrance to the Eco-Garden is a covered gateway large enough to cover all your guess in the event of rain and sun while they wait ahead of time
Less wind
DISADVANTAGES:
It's not the beach. This isn't necessarily a disadvantage however when most people envision a Caribbean wedding, they think Beach.
Distance! The Eco-Garden is a bit of a walk for you and your guests
Sun cover, mid-day weddings will have the sun directly overhead and beating down on your guests without cover
The "garden" is beautiful however it's less flowers and plants and more thick Dominican brush and dense trees
Like most aspects of destination wedding planning, beach vs garden really comes down to each Bride's personal preference and risk tolerance. Both options are awesome! But if I had to pick just one, I'd say it's one of the biggest days in your lives and you're in the Caribbean, beach... it... up!Feel free to contact me with any questions! Happy Travels!
